These birds are small, stretching only up to 4 inches in length and weighing around 4-9 grams.
Sporting pied plumage, with a black “bandit mask” around the eyes, as well as white and orange-brown spots all over.
Their diet consists of berries, seeds, smaller insects and spiders.
It is found in open pine and broadleaf forests, often at mid-level altitudes.
They are very social birds, often traveling in large flocks of up to 40 birds.
Black-throated bushtits are found from the foothills of the Himalayan mountains throughout India and in countries such as Bangladesh and Taiwan.
